Tri-Co Propane has LP Gas repair technicians who can handle most any repair, modification, or upgrade. Often those repairs can be taken care of at your site. Propane leak tests, equipment survey, and inspections for improving the efficiency of your system are all services provided by Tri-Co Propane . Tri-Co prides itself on customer service. Our propane gas delivery team is second to none and will meet your volume needs. Tri-Co also provides propane bottle racks for customers who have a bottle exchange service. If you are a new customer or new home builder, our personnel can visit your site, survey the area, and gather information from you about your residential propane needs. After performing this needs assessment, our team will put together a plan meeting your objectives. Tri-Co routinely consults with area builders during the construction phase of projects. Propane Tank Installations - Temple, Killeen and Surrounding Areas

Tri-co Propane serves the tank installation needs for new propane customers in Temple, Killeen, Georgetown, Copperas Cove, Salado, Rockdale, Gatesville, South Waco and all areas in between. Whether your propane tank installation needs are for residential or commercial use, Tri-Co Propane can assist consumers with all aspects of the propane tank installation process.

Tank Installation and Selection

Determining your needs is the first step in selecting a propane tank. Whether you are a commercial or residential customer, Tri-Co will assist and guide you through the process of tank selection. We routinely stock tanks ranging in size from 5 to 1000 gallons and can fit your specific usage requirements. Larger propane tanks are available through our extensive resources. Both underground and above ground propane tanks are available. Several factors will influence your propane tank requirements:

  • Size of area to be heated
  • Number of units such as tractors or forklifts to be serviced
  • Number of family members using appliances
  • Propane driven appliances; water heaters, pools, furnaces, dryers, stoves, etc.
  • Aesthetics; Do you want the propane tank totally out of site?

Tank Sales and Tank Rental

Tri-Co offers a wide variety of propane tanks for sale and rent in the central Texas area. Rates for tank rental vary based on size. Commercial propane tank rental rates are available as well. In some situations, you will want your tank buried. Tri-Co can also install underground tanks; however, underground propane tanks are not available for rent and must be purchased.

Propane Tank Sizes

Most residential customer’s needs are met using 250-500 gallon propane tanks. By and large, these are the most common sizes utilized by Tri-Co customers. In some situations smaller propane tanks may be appropriate. Criteria such as family size, number of appliances and size of an area to be heated are some of the variables used to determine tank size. Our trained installation technicians will assist you in the selection process based on your specific circumstances. Commercial customers often require larger tank capacities. Businesses such as restaurants and schools in the central Texas area often use high volumes of propane and it is not uncommon for them to require a 1000 gallon or larger tank. Whatever your size requirements, Tri-Co can accommodate them.

Propane Tank Installation

Tri-Co Propane is an extensive full service propane company. We handle commercial and residential tank installations which range from single tank settings to those cases requiring multiple propane tanks. Through consultation with you and regulation requirements, Tri-Co will properly handle site preparation, installation and the lighting of pilots for appliances. We have the ability to trench for your lines, dig sites needed to set underground tanks and safely install your tank.

Tank Switch/Swap Outs

On occasion Tri-Co receives request by customers to switch to our services. Regulations prohibit Tri-Co from delivering propane into a tank owned by another company. If you rent your tank from another propane company and want to switch to Tri-Co, we will replace the tank with one of our rental tanks at no charge other than the appropriate rental fee. If you own your tank, no switch out is required and Tri-Co will fill those at your request.

Central Texas Propane Cylinder Services

Propane bottles are used in a multitude of ways all across the Central Texas area. Keeping your grill going for those family barbeques, heating your outdoor patios or hot tubs and keeping your commercial propane forklifts operating are an important part of the services Tri-Co can provide. Our trained staff will help you with the proper handling of your cylinders. Whether you need cylinders filled at your business for forklifts, cylinders filled at our Rogers, Texas location for your residential gas grill or proper replacement parts, Tri-Co can meet your propane cylinder needs.

Cylinder Services

On-Site Cylinder Filling: Our on-site bottle filling station east of Temple in Rogers, TX routinely fills bottles used for a variety of purposes. From 5 gallon (20 lb) barbeque bottles, forklift bottles, to 25 gallon (100lb) bottles, Tri-Co can take care of your filling requirements. Our onsite bottle filling station is open Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm.

Commercial Forklift Services: Using one of four bulk propane delivery trucks, Tri-Co has the ability to deliver propane to your site and fill your forklift cylinders.

Bottle Inspections: Tri-Co has trained service people capable of checking your bottles for maintenance, recertification and important repairs.

Bottles and Parts: On occasion, you will need bottles, hoses or regulators. Tri-Co has those and other parts on hand in most cases or can get them through its extensive resources in the propane industry.

Propane Cylinder Safety

Safety is a primary concern for Tri-Co when filling your bottles. Certain requirements are necessary prior to a cylinder being filled. Among those requirements are the following:

  • All propane bottles between 4lbs and 40lbs. are required to have an Overfill Prevention Device (OPD) This device is specially designed to prevent accidental overfilling and will prohibit the flow of propane when a hose and regulator are not connected.   • Cylinders must be equipped with a collar around the valve, affixed with a secure foot ring.
